Jeremy WARNICKE
I live in Grand Ronde Oregon with my wife and three kids. I started mountain biking in 2004 with Ryan Eiesle to get into better shape for motocross racing. Ryan showed up at my house with a new dirt jump hardtail. I went and got one a couple days later. We did the same four mile climb almost every day the entire summer and it made riding a twenty minute moto so much easier. In 2005, the bike rides started getting a little longer so in 2006 I decided to try the local Mudslinger race the following spring. It was a tough race on a bike made for dirt jumping, so in June, I purchased a new XC bike and trained the rest of that summer and won the Fall City Firecracker in the beginner category. I have continued to ride and race ever since. I really enjoy mountain biking because it has made me stronger both physically and mentally.
